Chapter 1432: Are They Really Aliens?
Chapter 1432: Are They Really Aliens?
Time continued to pass.
The lizard shopkeeper couldn't escape, nor could it communicate with the outside world using psychic energy. It could only grudgingly fiddle with various cooking utensils, following the instructions from cooking videos to prepare meals for Su Yu and Morningstar.
Although it had never cooked before, as a Dominator Apex, its control over its body was exceptional. Following the video's steps, it managed to cook dishes that were passable.
One by one, the dishes were prepared and served on Su Yu and Morningstar's table.
The lizard shopkeeper worked like an ordinary chef, its face contorted in extreme discomfort.
The cat and human duo curiously sampled each dish.
Most of the dishes didn't suit their tastes, but there were a few exceptional ones that caught their attention.
"Hmm, this roasted meat is good!" Morningstar, the cat, praised after trying one of the roasted meats, "The timing is just right, the meat is juicy and flavorful, and it's very tender!"
"Really? Let me try," Su Yu said, his interest piqued by Morningstar's comment.
He picked up a piece of the roasted meat and chewed it thoughtfully.
After a few bites, his eyes lit up, and he nodded, "Indeed, this roasted meat has an excellent flavor, even better than the finest beef on Blue Star. The taste is more complex and rich."
"It's a rare and delicious dish!" Morningstar exclaimed, picking up the largest piece and devouring it.
Most of the dishes were not to their liking, some too sour, some bitter, and others with peculiar flavors. This roasted meat was a rare gem among them.
What impressed them the most was that this roasted meat was extraordinary, even rivaling the finest dishes on Blue Star. It stood out among the rest.
"By the way," Morningstar asked between bites, "Kexing, what kind of animal meat is this? Should we bring some back to Blue Star?"
The meat, even with simple roasting, tasted so good that it had great potential for other culinary creations.
"I'm not sure," Su Yu thought for a moment, "But it seems similar to your feline species."
"..." Morningstar's smile froze on her face.
"Haha," Su Yu laughed, seeing Morningstar's reaction, "I'm just kidding, it's not a feline species. I'd never bring ingredients that would upset you. This is a large animal, somewhat similar to a dinosaur."
"Don't make such cruel jokes!" Morningstar was exasperated, her claws reaching out to scratch Su Yu.
"Alright, I was wrong," Su Yu blocked Morningstar's claws, laughing and pleading, "Morningstar, why don't you go to the market and pick some ingredients you like? Bring them back, and let the shop owner cook something delicious."
"Fine, I'll bring you some humanoids!" Morningstar huffed.
She picked up a large piece of roasted meat with her mouth and then vanished with a flash.
...
Several minutes later, she reappeared in the kitchen, and in an instant, nearly a hundred ingredients appeared on the shelves next to the lizard shopkeeper—meat, plants, various processed products, several times more than what Su Yu had brought!
The kitchen was suddenly filled to the brim with ingredients.
Seeing the mountain of ingredients, the lizard shopkeeper's claws trembled, and it felt like dying.
With so many ingredients, how long would it take to cook them all?
Just as Su Yu's ingredients were about to run out, they had all been replenished and multiplied several times over. How could it possibly manage?
What made the lizard shopkeeper even more desperate was that it had overheard Su Yu and Morningstar's conversation.
Morningstar had called Su Yu "Kexing," and Su Yu claimed they were from a place called "Blue Star."
These words shocked the lizard shopkeeper! The name "Blue Star" didn't sound like their planet.
Could these two be from another planet? Aliens? Could there really be aliens? The intelligent beings of Grella-13 had always been under the control of the Crystal Azure Mechanisms, unaware of what existed beyond their planet. Their understanding of the universe's civilizations was practically non-existent, no different from Blue Star's humans a decade ago.
Hearing Su Yu's words, the lizard shopkeeper was astonished! Were they really alien visitors? Could they be in disguise?
But after careful consideration...
"Based on their behavior, they do seem like aliens," the lizard shopkeeper thought to himself.
Su Yu and Morningstar's curiosity about the local cuisine, their eagerness to try everything, was indeed how aliens might behave.
Moreover, Su Yu was a yellow-skinned humanoid, and Morningstar was a species it had never seen before. They didn't seem native to this planet.
Most crucially, Su Yu's strength was evidently on par with the five strongest beings on the planet.
Those five wouldn't pretend to be aliens to amuse it.
"Could it be... that they're really alien visitors?" the lizard shopkeeper's heart sank. "Aliens, and such powerful ones at that. This is going to be a huge problem!"
