Banks and credit card companies DON't farm out their fraud calls. How can it be that so many different financial institutions have the SAME fraud department phone number? It's because they DON't.

They called my roommate's phone, he's not listed with my credit union and my credit union would call me if there was any issue. I checked my account and saw that every charge is legit, even my pending ones. I have a call into my CU and will be getting a call from them on Monday. You never give away any of your numbers to anyone.

Man identified himself as Cisco from fraud department at credit union. Fast talker, verifying last 4 digits of card I never had my guess is they are trying to collect good history as if they are helping protect you from fraud charges. Then one day the tables will turn, or they are collecting tidbits of info about you. Block the caller and notify your bank. They had incorrect info on me, but I did not let on. A--h---s.

This one texted me with the number to call back. It's legitimate. They declined a transaction in Indonesia for me and I agreed that it was fraud.

It's a legit call from your card issuer. Your credit/debit card got declined and they're calling to confirm it wasn't you to disable or continue card services.

It is legitimate. They left a message on my voicemail asking for my last six digits of my card, the CVC number, and the last four of my social. I called it back to ask who they represented and they did name my credit union specifically and they knew the exact dollar amount of the purchase I had just made five minutes before. I did not call my credit union because it was after hours and they generally don’t answer the phone. When I called back they did not answer my Social Security number they just asked for my cell phone number to verify my identity and they were satisfied because it was a legitimate purchase. At that point I did not have any worries. But it was alarming initially. Usually you get a text, but not from this credit union. Be safe!

Financial service verifying a large purchase for my credit union...anti-fraud call., At first I thought it a scam because he asked for the number on the back of my card, but after I refused, I called my CU. It was legit.
